High-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia visits Vietnam Post.

Members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh received high-level delegation of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Member of the Board of Management of Vietnam Post welcomed the Delegation. Also participating in the meeting were Leaders and Managers from several functional Departments, Offices of Vietnam Post and related units.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed various issues suggested by the Cambodia Delegation, specifically postal financial serivices, E-commerce and delivery services in rural areas. H.E. Mr. EK Vandy highly appraised Vietnam Post’s achievements in the implementation of postal services in rural areas, remarkably the model of communal cultural post office which simultaneously provides public postal services helping to solve administrative procedures on the spot; postal delivery, insurance, bill collection, and money transfer services capable of competing with private enterprises. He further added that Cambodia Post would like to learn the technology and capacity building from Vietnam Post, at the same time expected potential investment in Cambodia in the postal sector.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh accordingly shared various experiences Vietnam Post had gained throughout its development process and strongly emphasized two key factors for the implementation of postal services to rural areas being human resources and quality assurance in order to be able to compete and satisfy the needs of all customers. Mr. Vinh also expressed his expectation that the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia would facilitate the cooperation and development between the two Posts.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue to implement the contents defined by the Memorandum of Understanding between Vietnam Post and Cambodia Post signed in the period of October 2017.
