Promote multilateral cooperation with POC and comprehensive strategic partnership with La Poste

At the meeting, Vietnam Post, as a member of the POC for the first time, shared the achievements according to the POC's business programs as well as its plan to adapt to the digital environment. In addition, the Vietnamese Delegation has proposed that POC should speed up the implementation of digital transformation in the postal sector, postal address codes with common standards, Integrated Product Plan and Integrated Remuneration Plan, multimodal transportation projects, projects UPU-WCO... to form a complete postal ecosystem to meet market trends.

As POC Chair, Mr. Jean Paul Forceville committed to support UPU postal member, including Vietnam Post in implementing business programs and projects of the Union, sharing views on the opening up of the UPU to wider postal sector players and postal digital transformation should be carried out according to the roadmap to review the impact and harmonize the benefits for the stakeholders.

The comprehensive strategic partnership cooperation between Vietnam Post and La Poste was formalized since signing Memorandum of Understanding for the period 2016-2019 and 2019-2021. At the meeting with La Poste, the two sides review cooperation activities on the basis of the content of the Memorandum of Understanding with fields of postal and delivery services, e-commerce, new digital services, postal financial services, training and exchanging staff... The Vietnamese side highly appreciates the support of La Poste on the successful implementation of the consulting project of address system in Vietnam. The two sides agreed to review cooperation contents to sign an extension of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2022.

During UPU's annual meeting, the Vietnamese Delegation held meetings with leaders of organizations, associations, and postal delegations from UU member countries to discuss opportunities for cooperation to promote the development of the postal sector in the 4.0 technology era.
