Signing Ceremony of MOU between & MIC Vietnam and MIC Japan

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung met Mrs. Takaichi Sanae - Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC Japan).

 At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister Takaichi Sanae informed each other the development in the field of information, communications and postal services. Both parties also discussed concerning issues: sharing policies and regulations on management of information and communications, smart city, 5G development, information security safety , IT applications, postal services, broadcasting, human resource development in information and communication and other issues with the same interests.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Minister Mrs. Takaichi Sanae signed MOU on Information and Communications and Postal fields.

 Also at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung shared with Minister Takaichi Sanae that Vietnam would host ITU Digital World Conference and Exhibition (formerly ITU Telecom World) in September 2020 in Hanoi and invited Mrs. Takaichi Sanae to attend this conference.

After the meeting, two Ministers signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the information and communication sector, including: sharing policies and regulatory regulations on information and communications, E-government, smart citiy, IT applications, digital transformation and 5G development, standard, information security safety, human resource development, multilateral cooperation, broadcasting, and other related issues. The Memorandum of Cooperation on the postal sector contained main contents including: sharing policies in the postal sector, human resource development and capacity building, support for cooperation between postal operators and service providers in the postal sector.

The MOU and MOC between MIC Vietnam and MIC Japan took effect during 2020 - 2023.
