The closing and awarding ceremony of the stamp collection and awareness Contest in 2018

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vinh, member of the BOM of Vietnam Post and Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Executive Vice President of the Central Youth Team Council gave special prize for Tran Thi Que, Class 6/5, in the Kim Dong Secondary school in Nui Thanh town, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
The Contest took place from December 2017 to 15th April 2018 nationwide. After 5 months of implementation, the Organizing Board received 2.1 millions submissions from children in the whole country. After many rounds, the jury selected the best articles to award: 01 special prize; 02 first prizes (for 2 ages), 04 second prizes, 10 third prizes for individuals and 22 encouragement prizes and 15 excellent collective prizes for groups having many achievements during the competition.
2018 is the fifth year that the Vietnam Post Corporation, the Postage Stamp Association, and the Central Youth Team Council successfully organized the Stamp collection and awareness Contest for children at the age from 8 -15 (3rd to 9th grade) in primary schools, secondary schools, Youth Centers and at residences in the country as well as foreign children living and studying in Vietnam. As a result of the contest, the contest has influenced and spread widely to the Youth team units in the whole country in particular and the whole society in general for many years.
With the topic “Protecting rare and valuable animals through the postage stamps”, Vietnam Post has recently issued many stamps as a message to popularize not only in Vietnam but also in the international community to join hands to protect rare and valuable animals.
Through the contest, the Vietnam Post Corporation, the Postage stamp association and the Youth Team Council expected to receive attention from media agencies, voices, televisions to report on the contest as well as call the society for joining hands and contributing to protecting, taking care and training the children of the country.
