Vietnam Post expects e-Commerce revenue to reach 350 million dollars in 2018

The Vietnam Online Business Forum 2018 (VOBF 2018) organized by thee-Commerce Association (VECOM) is an annual event on a nationwide scale, gathering both internal and external e-Commerce communities. The event is an opportunity for agencies, organizations and businesses to discuss the trend in e-Commerce development, emerging technologies and business ideas.
According to VECOM, Vietnam's e-Commerce growth rate in 2017 is over 25% and shall be maintained for the 2018-2020 period. An indirect survey on several delivery companies demonstrated the growth in revenue of delivery services from 62% to 200%. This is one of the great opportunities for delivery companies to thrive on.
Coming to VOBF 2018, Vietnam Post as its main sponsor has launched a number of promotional activities through its booths at the exhibition which managed to catch the attention of guests and the public presenting.
In recent years, with the rapid development and increased integration of e-Commerce, Vietnam Post has managed to make timely changes and invest heavily in warehouses, infrastructure and transportation to completely fulfill the needs of e-Commerce customers and businesses.
According to Mr. Phan Trong Le, Deputy Director of Planning and Investment Division of Vietnam Post, one of 30 speakers at VOBF 2018, Vietnam Post reported a revenue of 746 million dollars in 2017, of which e-Commerce Logistics accounted for 35%, reaching about 263 million. Compared to 2016, Vietnam Post has grown by 50% in sales and 65% in volume. Mr. Le also expects the revenue of Vietnam Post in 2018 will reach about 1 billion dollars, of which the e-Commerce revenue will reach 350million. This will directly contribute to Vietnam Post joining the "billion-dollar enterprise" group (1 billion dollars in sales).
