The operation of Vietnam Post trains helps reducing logistic costs and meeting customer's needs

Especially, in its digital transformation strategy, Vietnam Post identified a focus on IT application in all business areas, including freight transportation. To optimize postal transportation activities, promote modern IT application to improve business efficiency of carriers nationwide through reducing one way empty truck load, increase capability of drivers, clear goods volume quickly, reduce logistics and transportation cost, Vietnam Post has developed and opened its transportation transaction portal (https://stx.vn/) with over 1,000 transactions per month. This system helps optimizing inter-province transportation network, reduce transport time, improve quality of delivery services and meet increasing demand of customers.

Vietnam Post not only focuses on logistic, e-commerce services management but also actively engages in planning, warehousing, rotating and distributing postal items to its warehouses as well as delivery post offices with home delivery services. Accordingly, Vietnam Post supports e-commerce businesses to manage sales activities and clear stock, reduce delivery time.


New high capacity sorting machine in Vietnam Post’s Southern Logistic and Transportation Hub

Vietnam Post has set up logistic centers in key economic zones nationwide such as logistics hubs in Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Can Tho..

Especially, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Post officially operated its Southern Logistic and Transportation Hub with total area of 15,200 meter squares, automatic sorting machine with capacity of 18,000 parcel/hour and modern equipment and tools (roller pallets, forklift, camera system…).

In parallel with the construction of sorting hubs, Vietnam Post also simultaneously deploys warehouse platforms in both traditional and e-commerce logistics based on analysis of warehouse data to optimize delivery routes. In particular, Vietnam Post has gradually applied robotic applications to automate some operation steps, proceeding to form logistics capacity with high automation content.

Non-cash payment becomes a trend that Vietnam Post is prioritizing to exploit and develop with convenient services

Regarding the capacity of the Vietnam Post in developing logistics and e-commerce services, Mr. Le Quoc Anh, Executive Vice President also said that Vietnam Post also focused on improving the payment conditions for e-commerce merchants to increase speed of cash flow for customers, in the coming time, Vietnam Post will also focus on developing non-cash payment solutions to reduce COD costs for customers.
