Vietnam Post supports the people in Lai Chau province 200 million to overcome the consequences of heavy rain

 

Representatives of Lai Chau Post  donated the money to the the Permanent Rescue Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province

At the ceremony, Mr. Sìn Văn Sủ, Vice chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province, informed about flood damage in June 2018  and informed about the reception of support from organizations and individuals outside Lai Chau province.

Accordingly, up to the end of June 28  during the recent flood, the total value of losses of assets, plants, livestock, infrastructure in the province is over VND 344 billion, including 17 dead, 8 missing, 17 wounded; 412 partially damaged housing; 113 houses, 05 temporary shelters washed away completely; 198 houses were flooded locally ...

Sharing with the difficulties of the Lai Chau people suffering from floods, many organizations and individuals outside the province have supported the money and essential goods. The amount of support up to July 2 was VND 5,161 billion.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen, Director of Lai Chau Provincial Post, shared with the great loss of people and property of the people in the province. At the same time, he expressed his wish that the amount of money donated by Vietnam Post Corporation would be used effectively to help people suffering from natural disasters soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
