Vietnamese delegation attends the first meetings of Council Administration, Postal Operations Council and EMS Cooperative in 2022

Opening session of the Postal Operations Council at UPU Bern Headquarters, Switzerland

The Vietnamese delegation attended this meeting led by Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications. During the session, member countries will discuss on postal and policy and regulation, strategy, postal economics and market, opening up the UPU to wider poster sector players... Additionally, designated operators will focus on supply chain activities, physical services and e-commerce, market development and innovation, postal financial services.

Vietnam Post shared experiences of FITAF

During the first week of the session, Vietnam Post participated in two outstanding events of UPU. EMS Vietnam received 2021 Silver EMS Performance Award and EMS Customer Care Award, and Vietnam Post shared experiences of implementing the UPU's Financial Inclusion Technical Assistance Facility project (FITAF) and showing clip of project’s result.

On the sidelines of the official meeting, the Vietnamese delegation will have discussions of the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications with the General Director of UPU and the Chairman of the Postal Operations Council, signing ceremony between Vietnam Post and UPU about 2IPD Cooperation Agreement, high-level bilateral meetings with designated operators such as USPS, La Post, China, India Post, Korea Post, Japan Post. to promote cooperation, exchange experiences in postal and postal finance digital transformation and logistics for e-commerce.
