Hanoi Post pays subsidies to outdoor workers losing jobs due to COVID-19

After receiving the message with invitation to the post office to get supporting money from the Hanoi Red Cross, the recipients needs to show their identity cards or citizen identity cards. Post Office staff will check the information to make sure it is paid exactly according to the list provided by the Hanoi Red Cross. In case of receiving money in the replacement of recipient, an authorization letter is required with signature of People's Committee in a ward for verification.

Viet Nam Red Cross, with the support of the German Red Cross, has provided cash support to outdoor workers, without labor contracts, and lost their jobs due to social distancing. Beneficiaries of subsidies are outdoor workers (street vendors, small-scale vendors without fixed locations, waste collectors, lottery ticket sellers ...) who lose their jobs during social distancing due to Covid-19 and have not yet received any government financial support.

 The supporting amount is 1 million VND / 1 person. In case that parents, children, husband and wife live together in the room or in market area, they only receive one subsidy.
