Vietnam and Thailand promote cooperation in the field of Post

VNPost and Thailan Post singed the MOU of cooperation in the field of postal services and postal financial services
Vietnam – Thailand Economic Cooperation Forum held on 18th August 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand is a special connecting event for cooperation and investment under the coordination between the Business Association of Thai – Vietnam, Thailand Kashikorn Bank and the Ministry of Planning & Investment of Vietnam and Vietnam Embassy in Thailand. At first, it was estimated that only 200 enterprises from the two countries would take part in the Forum but, as counted at opening hour, the number was over 500.
Vietnam and Thailand are neighbouring countries which have a very close and good relationship. For many years, Vietnam Post and Thailand Post have also set up billateral cooperation in the field of postal services, postal financial services and others. However, the current relationship has not been thoroughly exploited and the collected effect has not yet reflected the actual ability and potentiality of each side.
Hence, the singing of the Memorandum of Understanding of cooperation in the field of postal services, postal financial services this time has marked a new step of development of the long-term relationship between Vietnam Post and Thailand Post. It will also effectively promote the billateral cooperation in many fields which both sides have strengths at, mutually improve service quality and business.
Under the witness of the Prime Minister Nguye Xuan Phuc and General, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Prajin Juntong and members of Governement and Ministers of two countries, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – President & CEO of Vietnam Post and Ms. Smorn Terdthampiboon – Director General of Thailand Post signed the Memorandum of Understanding of cooperation in the field of postal services, postal financial services between the two Posts.
