Vietnam Post suspends delivering postal items to Covid-19 quarantine areas

Earlier, in the effort to prevent and control Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam Post has provided delivery services to the quarantine areas. However, due to the Covid-19 complexity and under the instruction of Vietnam Prime Minister on quarantine area control, Vietnam Post announced to suspend the acceptance of postal items delivered to quarantine areas.

Accordingly, post offices stop accepting postal items to quarantine areas as required by the government. The suspension takes effect from 25th March 2020 until a new announcement.

For postal items accepted and arrived at delivery post offices, Vietnam Post subsidiaries actively contacted and delivered to addresses by the end of 27th March 2020.

Vietnam Post required transaction post offices to inform customers the suspension of accepting postal items with addresses in quarantine areas, explain them about this effort of Covid-19 prevention and control.

Hanoi Post, Ho Chi Minh Post and other provincial posts, as direct contact points, actively inform centre/district post offices and transaction post offices of this suspension.
